Mr. S. Selvendran

Sinnathamby Selvendran BSc (Hon), MSc

Mr.Selvendran obtained a BSc (Hon) in Mathematics through University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. After completing his BSc, he became a Lecturer in Mathematics in University of Jaffna . Later he completed his MSc in Information System Engineering in London, UK.

He moved to Nigeria at the age of 30 and served as a Mathematics Teacher in Oyo State. In 1986 he moved to the UK where he became a Retail store manager for Mobil/BP until 2010. From 2011-2016, he was the Director of Selvendrans Ltd. In the summer of 2016 Selvendran retired from his own business and has taken a more active role in OFAAL.

He began his contribution to OFAAL in 1995 as Chairman and Examination coordinator. Since 1997, as The Hon Vice Chairman of OFAAL he was heavily involved in coordinating the whole of OFAAL operations and Fine Arts Seminars and workshops for younger generations He liaises with the Fine Arts committee to prepare resources for the theory and practical examinations. He greatly involved in coordinating examinations and OFAAL Graduation ceremonies.

He is one of the founder members and permanent trustee of OFAAL. In 2000, Selvendran compiled theory books both in Tamil and English for Bharatanatyam and Vocal & Instruments for Grades 1-8.
