Mr Dawood started his early studies at Keeranoor India, moved to Kamudi, Ramnad district and New College in Chennai, Tamil Nadu for his higher studies. He then moved to United Kingdom and completed his NEBSM Management study London, UK. He is been working as a manager in industries and retail sector for more than 30 years.

He has been in connection with Tamil Schools in London since 1979.

He is a Trustee and Assistant Treasurer of OFAAL from 2015. Dawood is also the Holland Examination coordinator. He greatly involved in coordinating examinations and OFAAL Graduation ceremonies.

He is also the Assistant head master, involved in running school subsidiary of OFAAL teaching languages, Fine Arts and cultural activities.

In addition to his contribution to OFAAL, he has been involved in many charitable activities.
