Mr. M. T. Selvarajah

Thuraiappah Selvarajah BSc Eng.

Mr. MT Selvarajah Completed his OND in Mechanical Enginnering at South East London Technical College and Completed his BSc in Civil Engineering in London , UK.

He then went to Nigeria and worked there for 3 years and returned back to UK. He worked as a site Engineer and as a site Manager for Costains Construction and Careys Contruction Ltd. for six years. Then Selvarajah joined London Borough of Ealing Highways department in October 1990.

Selvarajah joined Tamil School as a Deputy Head Master in 1990 then promoted to serve as the Head Master. He is one of an OFAAL Trustees since its formation.

Selvarajah is the Vice President of British Tamil Examination Board (BTEB), which conducts Tamil examinations in the UK. Also contributed to nine Tamil school books called ‘Thamilarivu’ (Nursery to Grade 7) based on syllabus set by British Tamil Education Board.

He wrote and published six Tamil books (Short stories, Poetry book, Drama book and a Translated Novel) so far.

He has received an Appreciation Award from Canada Urumpirai Hindu Old students Association in 2016 for the service to the Tamil Schools in London as Head Master, Tamil literature as a Tamil Poet, Service to Urumpirai and Urumpirai Schools.
